Metanoeia (Greek μετάνοια): a change of mind; a turning of perception after which you no longer see the world quite the same way.

Some works of art do this in a single moment. You step into a room of light and lose the edges of the space. A sound passes through your body before your mind can name it. A dancer moves inside a projection, and for a second you can’t tell what is real. You walk out into the street, and the street looks different.

Metanoeia Moments is a curated guide to these experiences: light installations, video art, audiovisual and dance performances, immersive exhibitions, festivals, museums, design, architecture and talks, from Barcelona to Tokyo.

It is created by media art producer and creative director Alisa Davydova, and every event is chosen by hand. The question behind each selection is simple: can this change the way you see?
